Kirk J. Angel
I am Kirk J. Angel, attorney and founder of The Angel Law Firm, PLLC. I am a native of the mountains of Western North Carolina. I received my BA in Philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. After graduating from UNC-A, I attended the University of Tennessee where I received a Masters in Philosophy and my law degree in 1997.
After graduating from UT, I practiced for a small firm in Knoxville focusing my practice on employment law for employees as well as personal injury and worker's compensation. I returned to my home state to work as a Trial Attorney for the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in the Charlotte District Office. I handled litigation and worked on investigations throughout North and South Carolina while with the EEOC.
I left the EEOC and opened The Angel Law Firm, PLLC in 2005. I focus my practice on employment law for employees and local businesses (employers).
I am licensed to practice law in North Carolina and Tennessee. I am admitted to practice before the following courts:
- US District Court for the Eastern District of NC
- US District Court for the Western District of NC
- US District Court for the Middle District of NC
- US District Court for the Eastern District of TN
- US District Court for the Middle District of TN
I am also a North Carolina Superior Court Certified Mediator.
